In their press release on February 2013, OHMA said that they conducted the survey to 1,555 respondents. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of on hold marketing in promoting businesses, and to know the reasons why these businesses are purchasing on hold messaging services.
Apparently, the survey revealed that the main purpose why those respondents use on hold messages is to help them build their brand image and to back up their marketing campaigns. Other reasons include adding value to the waiting time of their callers and to help avoid them hanging up.
These figures not only show the importance on hold marketing, it also shows the value of the caller’s time. It is your advantage as a business owner to make the most of the waiting time of your callers. But of course, you also understand that paying for a 1-minute TV or radio ad is very expensive.
